The Bangladesh Festival
The Bangladesh Festival has been held annually since 2015. This festival is organized by Canada’s largest circulated Bengali newspaper, the Weekly Bangla Mail- and was founded by Shahidul Islam Mintu, CEO of NRB TV. The Bangladesh festival is the largest indoor Bengali community event in Canada. People who are a part of Bangladeshi and Canadian culture participate in this event.
The main focus of this event is to unite the Bangladeshi-Canadian community, appreciate Bangladeshi and Canadian products, services, tourism and culture; appreciate the Bangladeshi-Canadian community’s achievements and contributions; recognize the outstanding services to Bangladesh and the Bangladeshi-Canadian Community and promote Bangladeshi culture; create awareness among the new generation of non-resident Bangladeshi families about the culture of Bangladesh. The event includes a trade show, tourism, seminar, book fair, cultural program and ethnic food to develop Bangladesh and Canada\'s bilateral business and cultural relations.
At this event, the honourable Ambassador Dr. Khalilur Rahman: the Bangladesh High Commissioner of Canada, will be the chief guest of the opening ceremony.
A colourful magazine will be published. The magazine will have write-ups on information about Canada and Bangladesh, its business opportunities, tourism and culture, award recipients of outstanding services, our pride and certificates of appreciation of new generation Bangladeshi Canadians; and useful information about, and for the community. More than 2,000 people will be attending this festival.
